Hello friends, and welcome to something I want to say is a new series on Gin & Biscuits but we all know this is not something I can commit to. But let’s see where we get to, shall we? Without further ado, let’s talk about the three beauty products I loved in the past month.
Now, I considered including more, but I honestly rarely try more than three new products in a month as I’m afraid something might cause a breakout it’s easier to figure it out with fewer products. I also like using my stuff before opening new ones which probably makes me a bad blogger but oh well.
This month, my three picks are all hydrating, which should come as no surprise, as staying at home and washing/sanitising my hands a million times a day is not kind to the skin. So, I’ve been moisturising every part of my body at all times, which brings us to my three favourite hydrating products.
First, I want to talk to you about is the Alpha-H Hyaluronic 8 Serum*. So far, the only other hyaluronic serum I’d used was the one from the Ordinary, which I do love, but wanted to try something new. So the Alpha-H one is a little thicker and has a more luxurious feel, which I like. It also does what HA is meant to do, it makes my skin nice and plump, and isn’t this all we want from skincare?
Tip: Rub any that’s left on your fingertips all over your hands.
Next up, my Weleda Skin Food. I am obsessed with this! I tend to have quite dry elbows and have loved using this to treat my skin there, but now it’s just the best thing to have around. With the constant sanitizing and washing, my hands have been in desperate need of something extra-nourishing, and my trusty little Skin Food is just the products. The thick cream literally transforms dry skin into lovely soft skin. Did you know that Victoria Beckham also loves this cream? I’m just putting this out there, in case you need more convincing.
Tip: Use it wherever your skin needs some extra love – from your hands to knees and feet! It is magic!
My third choice this month is from Clarins, and it’s their Moisture Rich Body Lotion. Let’s start with the fact that it smells divine, which is something I love when it comes to body moisturisers. Then, and now this is the important part, the often dry skin on my limbs is enjoying being not dry, so I’m happy. I tend to forget (read: be too lazy) to moisturise my body sometimes, so I keep this where I can see it to remind myself to use it after I shower, which has definitely helped. It feels very nice on the skin, smells delicious and you don’t have to stick your finger in it, so this immediately makes it a great pick.
Tip: Use the lotion on slightly damp skin so that it gets absorbed better.
So this is me, hydrated from head to toe, signing off. These were the three products I loved this month, hopefully, I’ll be back with another three next month. Who knows?
Until next time,
