Three products on my summer beauty wishlist

Summer’s almost here, my best friend and I are planning our annual holiday and I honestly can’t wait. I can’t wait for beach days, post-dinner naps and nights spent dancing by the sea. I’m already planning outfits despite the fact the trip is in over two months so you can see I’m excited. I am also putting together my cosmetics bag together, and there are some bits I’ve heard great things about, but I’m missing, so I’ve put together a little summer beauty wishlist. Now, it’s not like I *need* any more makeup or skincare, but well, I do. You know what I mean. Let’s jump straight into it! Here are three products from my summer beauty wish list.

The last thing you want in the summer is dry, rough skin. I love a good body scrub, and I’ve got my eyes on a L’Occitane one. I’ve used some of their products before (hello, Divine cream, I love you!) so I’d love to give the Ultra Rich Body Scrub a try. It is recommended for dry to very dry skin, and with shea butter (10%), apricot oil and finely ground nutshells in its ingredients, it promises gentle exfoliation without drying out the skin. And my body skin is definitely dry, so this one sounds like it’s one for me. Does it get any better than this? I think not. Soft legs, here I come!

Check out L’Occitane’s body scrub selection and let me know which one you’d go for!

So my skin has been a bit weird recently, with my forehead breaking out a bit every few days, and I am wondering could this be due to me using more sunscreen than usual? Possibly yes, and since I’ve almost ran out of my favourite Malin + Goetz SPF moisturiser, it’s time for a new one. I’ve had my eyes on the La Roche-Posay ANTHELIOS XL Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50 for a while and now is a good time to give it a go. It’s made for normal to combination skin, and so it’s said to be lightweight and non-greasy, which will hopefully end my break-outs and still protect me from the bad UVA & UVB rays. Here’s a little reminder for you to use SPF all year round, and not just on your summer holidays, in order to prevent premature skin ageing and dark spots.

As you know, I am not one to wear much makeup, and yet I possess a good amount of face paint. I just love trying new things and playing with products, and of course, I absolutely love trying all the hyped-up new releases out there. As mascara is one of the things I actually use almost every day, I really want to try the Glossier Lash Slick. It’s marketed as ‘extensions without the extensions’ and it’s supposed to be ‘the perfect everyday mascara’, which is exactly what I love. I can’t wait to try this one and hopefully it will be worth the hype! Have you tried it already? If so, did you like it?

What’s on your summer beauty wish list? These three are only a small part of mine, but I’m trying to set myself some realistic goals for now, and to be honest all I’ve achieved so far is to stop myself from writing I WANT GUCCI TRAINERS at the top of any list I make. I’m sure this is some kind of progress?

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my most wanted products for summer!

You know what, this is such a great idea, but I’ll have to get my boyfriend to be a guinea pig and test all the products for me, review them and then I can write it up 🙂

Oh Im always on the hunt for new product recommendations. Love your list! I’m curious about the La Roche-Posay Ultra Light Fluid cause I’m all about bumping up my SPF especially in the summer. Going to see where I can try it.
