Stripes & Rambles

Today, I was supposed to work on this very long article I have to write for uni. It is on an interesting topic, and I believe it will be an interesting read. But I am nowhere near starting it, let alone finishing it or it being read by anyone…

Can we just take a moment and appreciate the last few days, when it was spring in London? Like, how beautiful was it?! It’s of course all gone now. Even though I have not left the flat today, my friend told me it was cold. And I see no sun from my window. Oh well, it was nice to see you for like three days, spring. Maybe see you soon again?

Oh, well I will, next week. *Bragging time* I will be in Italy next weekend, where it’s supposedly sunny and warm. Oh, and the pasta tastes like heaven! I was supposed to eat clean until my holiday, so that I can go all out while in Italy. Let me tell you, this did not happen. I am still going to eat all the pasta and gelato though. *Puts beach body on hold(again)*. Lazy Kristina…

So, the article. It is a 2,500 word long piece. I chose the topic, it was discussed by everyone in class, including my tutor. He thinks it will be a good one. So do I. When I write it. When will I write it?

I find that whenever it’s deadline time, I discover that I have never seen all the episodes of an iconic TV show. Last year, Friends was what helped me (and distracted me A LOT) get through my dissertation. This year, it’s Sex and the City.

This is confusing, isn’t it. I know. This is how my brain’s been all day. Jumping from one thing to the other, and I just can’t make myself to sit down and do my assignment. At least I managed to make myself sit down and write this.

So why am I writing this?  Because I feel like there’s a lot of people out there, who as as bad with focusing on work as I am, and I want to say… Hey, it’s OK! We all have bad days, when we just can’t focus and be productive. But then, the next morning we wake up, relaxed and with a fresh mind – ready to do our best. Don’t be guilty if you have a lazy day. Just don’t make every day a lazy one 🙂

Now, the outfit. It’s the one from my last day at LFW. But I loved it so much, I decided it deserved its own post. So here it is!

Pretty you! Wearing stripes is one of my very favorite things. They’re something I can dress up or dress down and add just a hint of playfulness to every outfit. I especially love your white jacket .. I’ve been looking for one all winter.

It’s tough to focus when you’re mind is somewhere off, thinking about better weather and seeing the sun. I can relate to that so much! I hope you do get to write your paper though.

This is a great classic look. I have a similar outfit. The striped top is a dateless choice and I love those Culottes from Boohoo. I have a pair of culottes in a pleather material from Zara and this post just reminded me I must wear them. Great!
